Day 7 - Long Unlazy Saturday

Today was a day that I was looking forward to all week.  A day just to take it easy and chill out.  Do I ever just really chill out though?  Not really.  Had breakfast with my wife and the boys while Kandra took her usual long teenager sleep time for Saturday.  We then went out to the grocery store and grabbed a few things.  Ran into a couple of classmates while I was there and another lady we knew that used to work at Abbot's Grocery that just recently closed.  We got home and dropped off the groceries took a short restroom and rest break and then got back in the truck and took off to Producer's Park  Here's a pic (Not mine):

While we were there I walked around the trail 4 times for a quick boost to my heart rate.  I was hoping to finally get a little exercise into my week and finally was able to so so.  I tried to listen to some music on Pandora while I walked but I was unsuccessful in getting it to work.  My phone had some problems last week and I have a loaner until they send it back to me in 4-6 weeks.  YIKES!  Aside from the problems with Pandora I am enjoying the Motorola they loaned me.  It has FM radio on it too so I flipped through some stations hoping to find some upbeat music to walk to.  I flipped a few times finding a few songs that provided a driving melody that I could break a sweat to, so I was glad.  It didn't take long for me to walk my 4 times around the park and I was glad that I could still do so.

Right before we left to the park, I put a couple of tomatillos, a few serrano peppers, and some garlic in the oven to roast so that I could make some salsa when I got home After the walk, we came home and the house smelled so good.  All of those roasted salsa ingredients filled the air with I can only describe as feast for the nostrils.  After I chopped all that up along with some fresh onion I cooked up some baked chicken and macaroni.  It was very tasty and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

After our meal I played a few games of WWF and then I got into my Mark Levin book.  So much good insight in the book and I highly recommend it.  It turns on it's ear the outright lies told by the liberal media and also takes some so called "conservatives" to task over their involvement in pushing progressive mantras and falling in line with them.  I was showing the book to my son and I opened it up to the back and I said, "Son you see these (pointing to the pages and pages of end notes?)  He said, "Yes, Daddy."  I told him, "The guy that wrote this book has cited evidence to back up everything he has written in this book."  He stared at me with a blank look on his face and then walked off.  We'll come back to that later, son.  I promise.  Citing evidence is important and I personally am glad that Mr. Levin has made it a point to be so meticulous in his documentation of the facts that support the points he is making in the book.  I'm learning some things and I'm glad that I have the opportunity to digest some of these things.  Fact is that what we are hearing in most news organization are half-truths and outright lies.  Agendas are being pushed forward and I for one want to be in the know when it comes to these things.  The only regret I have is that I hadn't picked up this book sooner.

Now it is time to chill out for the rest of the night.  Church comes bright and early tomorrow.

All my best,

Mac
