Keith Green wrote this song a while back and it has interesting lyrics. While still applicable I was just thinking of some modern updates. First lets look at the original version:
I want you here with Me
But you've been keeping other company
You can't sit still, it's plain to see
You love the world and you're avoiding Me
You love the world, avoiding Me
My Word sits there upon your desk
But you love your books and magazines the best
You prefer the light of your TV
You love the world and you're avoiding Me
Now for some updates to fit this techno gadget generation:
I want you here with Me
But you've been playing with your MP3
You can't sit still, it's plain to see
You love the world and your Playstation 3
You love the world, avoiding Me
My Word sits there upon your desk
But you love e books and e-zines the best
You prefer the light of your Ipad 3
You love the world and you're avoiding Me
You'd rather spend time with gadgetry
You love the world and you're avoiding Me
200 channels on cable TV
You love the world and you're avoiding Me
Facebook, twitter, it's plain to see
you've been keeping other company
You're too busy, to make time for me
You love the world and your avoiding Me
You have time for your Blackberry
You love the world and your avoiding Me
just something to think about.......

Got my car back today after extensive repairs. Water pump, brakes, major oil leak, and axles. Brother Robles really blessed me. I'm sure those repairs would have cost well into the thousands. I can say that I paid a fraction of that cost. God is good and so is Brother Robles. What a blessing to me. I never expected to pay that little for those major repairs. Thank you Lord! The Tithing Challenge is paying dividends again!!!! SO SO SO blessed!
Yikes Mac! Send some conviction my way, won't ya?
